State Funding For Drug Rehab In Colorado

To qualify as a state-funded rehab center, a facility must receive some or all of its financial support from the state or federal government.

Medicaid Coverage

Colorado’s Medicaid program, called Health First Colorado, provides health insurance coverage for qualifying people.

To qualify for Health First Colorado you must be:

  • pregnant, or responsible for a child 18 years of age or younger
  • blind or disabled
  • responsible for a family member who’s disabled
  • have an annual household income of $17,131 or less

Federal Grants

The most common federal grant is the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant (SABG). The SABG provides funds to all 50 states to aid them in treating substance abuse.
